- Please tell us about your current department and your role there.

My department mainly manufactures parts for various products. Since products are manufactured along production lines, my main role involves supplying parts, dealing with machine errors, and giving work instructions and guidance to workers so that the process runs smoothly.

In the production process, efficient production is realised when the production facilities and people working there are connected organically. It is difficult for both facilities and people to operate with flawless precision and so it is actually very difficult to produce products every day on a routine basis. I strive to work every day to ensure that this can be done in a reliable manner.

- That is precisely the duty of the supervisor of a production line. I recognised the difficulty and importance of production on a routine basis.

- Is there anything in your work you are particularly committed to?

I have the opportunity to interact with many people so it is important to understand the positions and feelings of other people and to act with empathy toward them.

I believe that work is a process in which people with different knowledge and experiences utilise their advantages and support each other to produce great results, so I try to communicate with empathy with my coworkers.

- I felt strongly that a combination of the originality of each individual and cooperation  with each other builds a stable production environment.

- Could you tell us about the environment and atmosphere of your workplace?

The workplace has a good atmosphere in which I can easily give my opinion and ask questions to my boss and senior colleagues, and they talk to me in a friendly manner.

In addition, when I had to work late into the night, I had the opportunity to have meals with my colleagues to discuss future plans. Since this is a workplace in which we can talk about anything, I feel I can work at ease while imagining how I can further develop my skills.

- When you saw the attitudes of your senior colleagues, were there any things that were especially impressive or enlightening?

What impressed me most was that they taught me the importance of seeing things objectively, not subjectively, while conducting my work. I learned to communicate and proceed with my work more smoothly than before.

- Gratitude to your colleagues and the staff who support production is important. The importance of communication above all is put into practice, and that creates the norm for production every day.

- Are there any challenges you would like to take on in the future?

Although not really a “challenge” as such, I want to make an effort every day to catch up to my boss’s level of  understanding of the products, as well as their high level of communication, as soon as possible.
