- Please tell us about your current department and your role there.
My department is engaged in purchasing management, and the main tasks are the preparation of production plans and the placement and receipt of orders for parts. We also have a lot of interaction with business partners. I prepare the shipping and production plans for products and control whether the correct number of materials are supplied for production.
- Since products consist of many parts, you have a lot of contact with partner companies.
- Is there anything in your work you are particularly committed to?
I take care not to plan too tightly and not to make numerical errors. In addition, I also coordinate with manufacturing staff to adjust plans so that production does not stop. A major task is to prepare shipping plans and production plans so that the delivery dates for ordered products are not delayed, and I aim to do this without any errors. I approach my work with extreme care so that the schedules I prepare will not cause trouble for our many staff and customers.
- The precision of your plans is important, especially because you are surrounded by many staff, business partners, and above all, stakeholders, including customers.
- Could you tell us about the environment and atmosphere of your workplace?
My work environment allows me to consult others immediately if any questions arise. My senior colleagues in the workplace teach me very kindly in an easy-to-understand manner. In addition, if there is something I am unaware of or something I miss, they point it out to me or give me advice. My colleagues and I eat out together if we have time. We understand each other and they are valuable coworkers.
In addition, when I work with junior colleagues who graduated from the same school as me, we talk about former teachers and school events.
- When you saw the attitudes of your senior colleagues, were there any things that were especially impressive or enlightening?
To always consider others no matter what you are doing. One of my senior colleagues taught me that it is important to communicate in an easy-to-understand manner when sending e-mails or asking questions and to communicate with an understanding of my position while also understanding the position of others.
Something important that I keep in mind is the advice from my senior colleagues that I should never forget to conduct my work smoothly.

- Are there any challenges you would like to take on in the future?
I would like to get a forklift operator’s licence. I find the preparation of production plans and the receipt and placement of orders for parts rewarding, but I would also like to try transportation work on-site. This is because I believe that knowing the site will be helpful when formulating better plans.
